Juniper Creative Retreat
A residency for ceramic artists seeking time, space, and clarity in the high desert.
The Juniper Creative Retreat is a studio-based residency for ceramic artists looking to immerse themselves in their practice in the unique environment of Joshua Tree. We offer dedicated studio workspaces, access to a wide range of kilns and materials, and optional lodging designed for comfort, solitude, and inspiration.
This is not a program about performance or production quotas — it’s a space to reset, explore, and experiment. Whether you’re refining a body of work or simply reconnecting with clay, Juniper invites you to shape your own experience.

Do I have to create a final project?
Some artists use their time to create a full body of work, while others explore new techniques or simply reconnect with their practice. You set your own goals.
What’s included in the studio fee?
Your fee includes a dedicated work area, access to shared studio equipment, and all kiln firings for work produced on-site. Clay is available for purchase separately.
